The People Began to Assemble Together

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

A great multitude answered the summons of Abish, and many rushed to the house of the king. Some were curious others imagined that an unheard-of tragedy had, like a canopy of evil, fallen upon the king's household. Still others, not knowing what had happened, conjured up all manner of weird connotations. All were astounded when they saw the king and queen lying on the ground as if dead. Their amazement knew no bounds when they saw a Nephite was also lying there.
