It would be human nature to expect praise, even a reward, for such a mighty deed. Ammon, however, behaves as though nothing special has happened; and Lamoni correctly understands that this is the most remarkable thing of all. Ammon’s small obedience has demonstrated his supreme loyalty to the king.
