“Lamoni, Royal Receptor of Light”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

Lamoni is the king over one region of the Lamanite territory known as the land of Ishmael, named after the descendants of the family that accompanied Lehi on his journey to the promised land. Lamoni is now about to cross paths with Ammon, one of the sons of Mosiah, and experience a mighty change of heart upon learning the message of the gospel. Through the Spirit of our Father in Heaven, Lamoni will be illuminated with the light of hope and transformed from his previous state of spiritual darkness to one of redemption and grace through the power of the Atonement. Lamoni responds with full heart and mind to the touch of the Master—even though it means relinquishing all the traditions and philosophies upheld by his fathers for five hundred years.
