“Great Joy Because of the Resurrection of the Dead”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
Mortal life may be a challenge, but immortality is assured through the atonement and resurrection of Christ the Lord. We may be beaten and bruised and battered on every hand by the vicissitudes of life, but we can glory in the assurance that life goes on hereafter and that for the faithful a refined and regenerated sociality will exist everlastingly. Like Job, we can exult in the sweet realization that body and spirit will be reunited (see Job 19:25-27), inseparably joined in the glorious resurrection.
