“All Manner of Wickedness”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

Nephi had taught some five hundred years earlier: “Behold, the Lord esteemeth all flesh in one; [but] he that is righteous is favored of God… . And he loveth those who will have him to be their God.” (1 Nephi 17:35, 40.) Those who revel in the works of the flesh may profit in regard to the items of exchange in this telestial tenement, but their prosperity is temporary and their joy but for a season (see 3 Nephi 27:11).
