“Alma and Those That Were with Him Fell Again to the Earth”

Brant Gardner

Alma2 and his brethren “fell again” to the earth. Certainly they were capable of rising at some point during this manifestation or they could not have again fallen. Falling to the earth was a physical (literal shaking of the earth) or a cultural response rather than a physical weakness. It may also suggest that they had arisen, not to their feet, but rather to their knees.

Again the specific markers of divinity are repeated: the voice of thunder and the shaking of the earth.
