“Mulek”
Mulek was the son of Zedekiah, king of Judea, who was preserved when the rest of his brothers were slain by the king of Babylon (see 2 Kings 25:7). It is quite probable that because of his lineage Mulek was appointed the king of the wandering colony of which he was a part. Through this colony the blood of Judah was destined to be mixed with the blood of Joseph in the Americas.
