“I Will Not Recall the Words Which I Have Spoken”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
Life is precious. We struggle to keep body and soul together. We cling to mortality with tenacity and plead and pray and labor in behalf of the sick and the afflicted. But some things matter more than life. Our faithfulness-our loyalty to truth and goodness, our commitment to those things which God prizes-must be “stronger than the cords of death” (D&C 121:44). The Lord’s prophets value the whisperings of the Spirit more than the breath of life.
