“He Should Be Put to Death”

Brant Gardner

Having finished his message, the powerful protection of the Spirit has withdrawn. Abinadi may now be apprehended, and Noah condemns him to death.

Text: The chapter break occurs at this point because Mormon shifts from citation to description. Abinadi’s speech was important, so Mormon included it in its entirety, but the narrative is significant only in describing the aftermath of Abinadi’s speech.
