“They Hardened Their Hearts Against the Words”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

One of the consistent evidences of the truth of a prophet’s message is the anger that it kindles in the hearts of the wicked. Validity draws the fire, and there is no confusion among the legions of the adversary as to who their opponents are. There is a power in heaven-sent truths to which the sophistry of hell has no response but the spirit of murderous wrath.
