Now we learn for the first time that Zeniff was not only a righteous man but that he brought the priesthood with him from Zarahemla and was a religious man. He also ordained a number of priests to serve the people. It is interesting that he said very little about his religious activities when he was writing in his journal. Now his wicked son, Noah, dismissed all of his father's priests and he presumed to consecrate priests of his own who had no genuine priesthood at all and were sympathetic to Noah's degenerate ways of life. From here on, everything went downhill.
