“King Benjamin”

Brant Gardner

This short sentence records the end of one of the greatest figures of the Book of Mormon, a man who took two separate nations enmeshed in external and internal turmoil, and united them into a new religious community. His reward was that, for the rest of his life, “there was no contention among all his people for the space of three years” (v. 7).
