“The Words Which King Benjamin Should Speak Unto Them”

Jana Reiss

We have skipped ahead several hundred years to somewhere between 130 and 120 BCE. This sermon by the Nephite king, King Benjamin, is the longest and most comprehensive single sermon in the Book of Mormon; most of it is included here. The context for this message is that these are King Benjamin’s final instructions to his people before his son Mosiah takes over the throne. He delivered this address outdoors at the Nephite temple.
