“Large Stone Brought Unto Him with Engravings on It”

D. Kelly Ogden, Andrew C. Skinner

Amaleki continued with his own biographical sketch. He was born during the reign of Mosiah, and now, during the reign of Benjamin, he engraved a few words at the very end of the small plates of Nephi. The Lamanites invaded the land of Zarahemla, but King Benjamin’s forces were able to drive them out. Approaching old age and having no posterity, Amaleki decided to deliver the sacred record into the hands of his just king, Benjamin, and he left us a brief but powerful exhortation to come to the Holy One of Israel and believe in prophecy, revelation, the ministering of angels, the gift of tongues, and every other good thing.
