“According to Thy Desires”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
Those who obtain the promise of the Lord that they will receive according to their desires are those who have so attuned themselves with the mind and will of God that their desires become a reflection of the will of heaven. Obviously such a promise would not be given to those whose desires were impure or improper. (See commentary on Alma 29:4; Helaman 10:5-10.)
