“The Words Which I Had Often Heard My Father Speak Concerning Eternal Life”

W. Cleon Skousen

Enos says it was while he was on a hunting expedition that began to reflect on the teachings of his father concerning eternal life and the joy of those who became "Saints." It is interesting that the word Saints is used throughout the Old Testament as well as the New Testament. It refers to the members of the Church of God. Saints are those who have consecrated their lives to God and live under a solemn covenant and it appears that on this hunting trip Enos suddenly realized that his life had not been entirely in harmony with the teachings of his father.
