Sherem was a pure humanist. He believed that man was the center of the universe and that no person could speak of things with authority beyond his rational capacities. Like Korihor, his soul cry was, “No man can know of anything which is to come.” In fact, the anti-Christ was eager to assert that no person could know anything (see Alma 30:13, 15, 24, 26).
