There are some things that a righteous man or woman can come to understand that a sinful person can never know. Knowledge and intelligence, particularly in the Realm of spiritual things, is dependent upon one’s diligence and obedience (see D&C 130:18-19).
A knowledge of great doctrinal truths-what the scriptures call the mysteries of the kingdom, the peaceable things of immortal glory, “that which bringeth joy, that which bringeth life eternal” (D&C 42:61; Moses 6:61)-a knowledge of these precious verities God reserves for those whom he can trust, the noble and God-fearing.
Those, in fact, who daily live worthy of the peace of the Spirit shall eventually gain that ultimate peace, that final pleasing word of God, “Come unto me, ye blessed, there is a place prepared for you in the mansions of my Father” (Enos 1:27; see also D&C 59:23).
