The spiritual affairs of the people were increasing as the population increased. Therefore Nephi ordained both of his brothers, Jacob and Joseph to be ministers and teachers to the people. The most significant praise Nephi could make concerning the righteousness of his people was this high tribute: "And it came to pass that we lived after the manner of happiness." This should be inscribed over the entrance to one of the temples.
