These themes of grandeur flow with persuasive power and touch our hearts. Much like the psalms of David, the psalm of Nephi is a summary of the life of a prophet of God and his triumph in breaking through the challenges of mortality and emerging into the dawn of the eternal light of the Lord.
“I Will Trust in Thee Forever”
Nephi’s psalm can relate to all of us. Nephi, in his humble and self-effacing psalm, helps all of us in our trials and tribulations here upon the earth. It seems that each of us has experienced feelings similar to those of Nephi. Thus we can understand that the psalm becomes one of the great applications to life in the Book of Mormon to help us and give us hope.
