This means “wrong,” or “improper.” (James 4:3).
The prayer ends with an expression of perfect confidence in God:—
I will lift up unto thee, O God, my cry,
Thou wilt my humble petitions not deny.
Therefore my voice shall forevermore ascend
God, Everlasting, to thee, worlds without end.
