“I May Shake at the Appearance of Sin?”

D. Kelly Ogden, Andrew C. Skinner

We should also shake with anger when we see Satan at work producing one Hollywood blockbusting crudity after another. Alma says that as we become more and more cleansed and purified we can look upon sin only with abhorrence (Alma 13:12). You just get to a point where you have zero tolerance for the trivial, the inane, and the crude.

President Thomas S. Monson cautioned: “The face of sin today often wears the mask of tolerance. Do not be deceived; behind that facade is heartache, unhappiness, and pain. You know what is right and what is wrong, and no disguise, however appealing, can change that. The character of transgression remains the same.” 10
