After the parenthetical clarification of the Moses prophecy, Lehi returned to his prophecy of the future Joseph. Lehi’s reference to the word that “shall have already gone forth” refers to the Bible. This passage means that Joseph Smith would bring forth the Book of Mormon, and have power to convert also through the word of God as found in the Bible.
