Nephi is speaking of Christ’s death and specifically predicts his visit to “all the house of Israel.” Yahweh-Messiah will make himself known directly and also by unleashing the forces of nature. In both the Old World and the New, many witness the forces of nature. A few faithful in the Old World heard the voice of the risen Savior. In contrast, all of those gathered at Bountiful in the New World heard that voice and experienced that visitation.
