“From Time to Time”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

Even the greatest of prophets do not stand in a continual downpour of revelation. To each it comes “from time to time,” as they have proven themselves worthy, and as they have completed those things requisite to its receipt. The Lord has promised that inasmuch as his servants are humble they will be given strength “and blessed from on high, and receive knowledge from time to time” (D&C 1:28). Revelation, as with all knowledge, comes “line upon line, precept upon precept” (D&C 98:12).
