“They Were Angry with Me”

The first effect of the powerful defense of Nephi was to set the hearts of his brothers aflame with anger, and, in the heat of the passion, they decided to murder their younger brother by drowning. But, as they approached him, to carry out their evil design, he solemnly warned them, in the name of Almighty God, that whosoever should lay hand on him to hurt him, would be stricken by the divine power within him.
