A vast majority of LDS scholars agree that the land of Bountiful was located in southern Oman, specifically in the Dhofar region. In fact, this is the only place on the southern portion of the Arabian Peninsula that fits Nephi’s descriptions of Bountiful. The abundant fruit and wild honey that Nephi mentions could only be found in this area (see Echoes, 92–93).
