“A New Writing, Which Was Plain to Be Read”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
The language in which the messages of the Liahona was written was new to Lehi and his family and yet easily understood by them. No additional commentary is given on the matter. We are left to wonder whether it was pure Adamic (see Moses 6:5-6) and whether it influenced the nature of their written language thereafter.
