One of the most astonishing things about all of this is that they had brought along huge bags of seeds. But God had said they would need these in the promised land. Even when they were starving they did not eat these sacred seeds. But as they ran short of meat some of the first to complain were Laman and Lemuel along with the sons of Ishmael. As the circumstances became more desperate, even father Lehi began to complain. After all they were trying to obey God's commandments. Why all these afflictions?
