Another Resting Place

After having been on the road “for the space of many days”—how many we know not—the company found another suitable camping place. Here they remained for the “space of a time.”

Space of a time. In the prophetic writings of the Hebrews the word “time” often stands for a “year.” See 3 in a year, of two months each, the “space of time” may mean two months—an entire season.

This was the third station on the road, the Valley of Lemuel being the first and Shazer the second.
