Nephi says, that his father had thus fulfilled all the commandments of the Lord. He had now set his house in order. He was ready to continue the long journey. The wives were not an encumbrance on the road, but their greatest help.
And also I, Nephi had been blessed ... exceedingly. Nephi, undoubtedly refers to his wife—an exceedingly delicate and fine compliment.
