Among those who rose in support of Nephi during the internal skirmish on the return trip from Jerusalem to bring Ishmael and his family to Lehi’s camp is one of the daughters of Ishmael (see 1 Nephi 7:19). Could it be that Nephi chose as his wife the same young woman who sides with him during the conflict with his brothers and other members of Ishmael’s family?
