In these verses Nephi laid it right on the line to these older brothers. He said if they did in their sins they would be forever excluded from the kingdom of the father. They would then go to a place of punishment where they could not partake of the tree of life but would suffer for their sins to the uttermost farthing. Later on in the Book of Mormon we will hear about the Father's redemption of the wicked after they have paid the uttermost farthing.
