Nephi had a wonderful understanding of the scriptures after seeing his great vision. He pointed out that all of Israel would be gathered in the latter days, including the Jews. It would be God's way of fulfilling his original covenant with Abraham. Notice that it is here that Nephi expounds for the first item the great message of Isaiah who had lived a hundred years earlier. Nephi realized that he and Isaiah had both seen the same vision and Nephi could therefore explain many of the more obscure passages of Isaiah.
