If we keep the commandments and exercise our faith, God will answer our prayers. That is a fundamental principle of the gospel of Jesus Christ: “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you” (Matthew 7:7; compare Luke 11:9; 3 Nephi 14:7; D&C 88:63).
