“Desirous ... to Know”

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

When Nephi had heard his father's account of his vision and his subsequent discourse (vv. 11-16), he was desirous of obtaining knowledge for himself, by the power of the Holy Ghost, of the great truths revealed to his father. Having strong faith, he felt sure that the Messiah, the Son of God, could, and would, impart that knowledge to him.
