Nowhere in the Old Testament is the coming of John the Baptism described so completely as it is here. Isaiah simply said there would be a voice crying in the wilderness, "Prepare ye the way of the Lord,"1 but Lehi describes John's great mission. He said John would be the great baptizer, even baptizing the Savior himself.
