Redaction: Nephi has simply reported the dream, apparently verbatim, without much editorial intrusion; but at this point, he abbreviates the account. Why? I think it is because he will repeat many of the details in reporting his own interpretive vision. He is engaging in narrative economy with his selectivity here.
