It seems curious that Laman and Lemuel were capable of such rapid and wide swings—from violent rebellion to humble repentance. However, since Nephi later accused them of being “past feeling” (1 Ne. 17:45), their repentance was probably less than sincere—a response to the women’s pleadings rather than a change of heart.
