Obedience is the pathway to life; murmuring is the pathway to death. The Lord’s commandments are always given to enhance vitality, to edify the Saints as they seek to build the kingdom of God. Following His commandments is the key to life. In opposition to that, obeying reluctantly, or worse, allowing the spirit of dissention and murmuring to short-circuit obedience altogether is the sure pathway to decline and death.
