From this reference, we know that Lehi and his family have come from the Israelite line of Joseph of Egypt. From a later reference we learn specifically that Lehi is a “descendant of Manasseh, who was the son of Joseph who was sold into Egypt by the hands of his brethren” (Alma 10:3).
