“My Mother Was Comforted”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

When Nephi and his brothers returned to their father's camp there was much joy and rejoicing. Exactly how much time had transpired since their departure we are unable to tell, but it is not unlikely that they had been gone for a period of from several days to perhaps weeks. Even Sariah had been affected adversely by what seemed to be an inordinate delay in the sons' return: her fears had caused her to doubt the genuineness of her husband's revelations. When the party did return, doubt and fear were replaced with gratitude, deepened faith and commitment, and further resolve.
