“Obedient Unto the Word of the Lord”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
Servants of the Lord do not obey ignorantly. Theirs is a spiritual vision. Experience has taught them the wisdom of God—that he can be trusted. They have come to know that whatever God requires is right. Lehi has already had a major encounter with the Lord, and undoubtedly others preceded it; the roots of his faith were deep. To those who know not the things of the Spirit, he was a fool; to the man of God, Lehi acted wisely and well.
